At present, Baidu’s autonomous driving business department has three departments: autonomous driving technology department, smart car business department, and smart map business department. Among them, the autonomous driving technology department provides Level 4 autonomous driving solutions for the industry; the smart car business department provides Level 3 mass production solutions for car companies, including high-precision maps, valet parking (AVP), high-speed autonomous driving (HWP) etc.; the smart map business department is mainly responsible for the commercialization of high-precision maps.

At the same time, according to a reporter from the Beijing News, Baidu has a total of 420 L4 autonomous driving test vehicles on the road in 23 cities, including 150 test vehicles on public roads, and the total road test mileage has exceeded 300. million kilometers.

According to Li Zhenyu, vice president of Baidu and general manager of Baidu’s autonomous driving business group, Apollo has been updated to version 5.5 and has 177 partners. The range of developers empowered by Apollo radiates to OEMs, Tier1s, startups, and scientific research institutes. .
